The Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (Y.E.C.A.) Climate Leadership Fellows experience is a selective program for undergraduate college students, beginning with a training retreat in August and running through April of the following year. The CreatureKind Climate Leadership Fellow is a partnership between Y.E.C.A. and CreatureKind.
The Climate Leadership Fellows program aims to equip new leaders who can promote a biblical understanding of the climate crisis and organize faithful responses within their campuses, churches and communities. The CreatureKind Climate Leadership Fellow will focus on the contribution of factory farming to climate change, promote faith-based reasons for caring about the well-being of animal creatures used for food, and organize practical action in response.
Working together with experienced Y.E.C.A. Organizers, CreatureKind, and other mentors, the CreatureKind Fellow will develop a strategy and specific project for engaging their local context around farmed animals and climate action. The Fellowship includes project support, related travel expenses and a yearlong stipend.
