We're marking our fifth birthday with a new strategic plan and a $5,000 matching grant campaign. Will you help us celebrate?
Five years ago, a group of 18 evangelical students and young professionals met in Washington D.C. to discuss what they could do in the face of the climate change crisis. Out of that retreat, Young Evangelicals for Climate Action was born, and has since grown into a network of thousands of activists and supporters around the United States.
These past five years, Y.E.C.A. is proud to have faithfully served by organizing global prayer events, mentoring college students, advocating to our political and church leaders, and partnering with other faith and environmental organizations to pursue concrete climate action. However, our work is far from over. Y.E.C.A. is poised to build on what we have accomplished through the implementation of our newly adopted 5-year strategic plan. The challenge of climate change is daunting, our goals for addressing it as young evangelicals are ambitious, and we are excited to serve our Lord in this worthy task.
To kickstart our efforts for the next 5 years, we are announcing a matching donation campaign. Through the generous donation pledges from the Y.E.C.A. Steering Committee, Tearfund (a partner organization in the U.K.), and the Hultgren-Bryant Family Foundation, we have received matching funds totaling $5,000! That means, each dollar that you donate will be matched one to one. Your donation of $35 is actually $70!
Your partnership is integral to the work of Y.E.C.A., and we thank you for considering a donation as we celebrate our 5th birthday. We’ve done a lot the last five years, and with your partnership, we’ll do even more together in the years to come.
